The entire line of Niewiadów car transporters meets the requirements of the new German standard VDI 2700 part 8.1, effective from September 2024. This standard, developed by the Association of German Engineers (VDI), specifies detailed guidelines for the safe transport of vehicles and light commercial vehicles with a gross vehicle weight of up to 4.5 tonnes, with a special emphasis on the method of securing the load on transporters.

Standard requirements

Four pillars safe transport.

The VDI 2700-8.1 standard defines specific requirements for every element of the car transporter — from mountings, through structure, to equipment.

Certified lashing straps

Cargo securing compliant with VDI standards — appropriate strength, marking and fastening method.

Strap protection

Special guards protecting the straps from abrasion against sharp vehicle edges — e.g. tyres and rim edges.

Technical condition assessment

Regular inspection of floors, ramps and equipment completeness — a guarantee of long service life and safety.

Locking and securing system

Dedicated vehicle securing system for transport — wheels, axle, frame. All compliant with VDI 2700-8.1.

DEKRA

The certification of our range of car transporters was carried out by renowned DEKRA body in Germany. The process included static tests in the DEKRA DE laboratory and dynamic tests at the Modlin Training Track — with a full load and certified securing equipment.
